Cancellations, Refunds, and Reschedules

All studio bookings are non-refundable. Cancellations made at least 48 hours before your scheduled rental time may be rescheduled once with no fee. Rescheduling requests made less than 48 hours before the booking will incur a one-time $50 reschedule fee. If the studio must cancel your booking, you will receive a full refund.

Payment and Booking Policy

Full payment is required in advance to secure your rental time. Your booking will not be confirmed until payment is processed. A valid credit card must be kept on file to cover the rental fee, as well as any applicable cleaning fees, overtime charges, damages, or penalties incurred during your rental.

Rental Time and Overtime

Your rental time includes setup and breakdown. Entry to the studio is permitted no more than five minutes prior to your scheduled start time. Early arrival or late departure will be charged as an additional full hour. Please leave enough time to clean and pack before your session ends. Overtime and cleaning fees will apply as necessary.

Studio Usage

This building is a historic property and must be treated with respect. Excessive noise (beyond reasonable music volume) is not permitted. The use of glitter, body oils, confetti, smoke bombs, drugs, or alcohol is strictly prohibited. Hazardous materials may not be used without prior written approval. Waste must be disposed of in designated receptacles; do not pour anything but standard liquids down sinks or drains. You or your representative must remain present throughout the rental period. The studio reserves the right to remove any individuals exhibiting unsafe, illegal, or disruptive behavior. Rentals may be stopped without refund in such cases.

Props and Sets

While the studio does not supply lighting gear, props and sets are carefully curated with vintage and specialty pieces reflecting the creative history of the Santa Fe Art District. These items must be handled with care. You are responsible for returning all props and furnishings to their original location and condition. Damages will be charged according to the item's assessed value.

Damage and Repairs

All damages to studio property—including walls, props, furniture, equipment, and especially the cyc wall (which carries a $900 repair fee)—must be reported immediately. A credit card will be charged for any repair or replacement costs. Please notify the studio with a description and photos of any incidents during your rental.

Liability and Insurance

You rent and use the studio at your own risk. The Aperture Lounge, its owners, and affiliates are not liable for any personal injury, loss, theft, or property damage incurred during your rental period. You are fully responsible for the actions and safety of all individuals you bring into the space, including minors, clients, models, or crew members. If you are working with models, you are responsible for all necessary documentation and legal compliance, including age verification and model releases.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the studio, its owners, and representatives from any claims, damages, or legal actions resulting from your use of the space. We strongly recommend you carry your own liability insurance, especially for commercial shoots or events involving larger teams or equipment.

No Erotica or Adult Content

Erotic, pornographic, or sexually explicit content is strictly prohibited in the studio. Booking the space for such purposes is not allowed under any circumstance.

Force Majeure

The studio is not responsible for delays or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, power outages, acts of God, government actions, or other force majeure events. In these cases, bookings may be rescheduled or refunded at the studio’s discretion.

Respect the Space and Community

We are proud to be part of the historic Santa Fe Art District. This is a space for intentional creativity and community. Please treat the studio and neighborhood with care and leave the space in better condition than you found it. A studio representative may be present during your rental to ensure safety and compliance with all studio policies.

Final Agreement

By booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms. This agreement is legally binding and governed by the laws of the state of Colorado.
